Day 4 & 5

Day 04 - A picture of your night.

Since I missed yesterday, this was last night. We started a book club with a few ladies in my ward and have been reading the Jane Austen books. I dont have a picture of us. I really should have brought my camera, but last night we had our second meeting and it was lots of fun! Ive never read any Jane Austen books so its fun to try something new. Its fun to talk about the book; who we liked and didnt like and its even funner to just chat and laugh. Plus, I love getting together and getting to know these awesome ladies. So that was my night and it was great

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.
THis one is a little harder. I think you will have to make a mental picture. When I was little, we had this huge 12 person van and when we went on vacations, we would take out all the seats except for the last one and everyone plus our big boxer dog would pile in with our blankets, pillows and whatever else and off we would go. We normally went camping somewhere in washington and it was always so fun! I have really good memories from all our family vacations. I remember laying in our tent at night listening to my brother sam teasing ben about getting eaten by bears (apparantly he always had to sleep on the edge of the tent). We always went fishing and my and my sister would play with all the fish after we caught them. Or on really early mornings, I would get up with my dad right as the sun was coming up and go down to the beach at low tide to looks for sand dollars. Those are just a few of the fun memories. I think we went on a vacation almost every year. Family vacations were and still are my favorite things.

Day 3

Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show.
My 2 favorite shows I go out of my way to watch are :


Anything else I can watch on hulu or something.
On boring nights, I also like animal planet and the food network.

I dont even know when these shows are supposed to be on, but if I happen to be flipping through the channels, Ill stop on these ones. Just fun shows :)

Day 2

Day 02 - A picture of you and the person you have been close with for the longest.
This is obviously more than one person, but I pretty much met them on the same day, so its a package deal :)
These girls are my best friends ever! I met them when I moved to Washington my sophmore year in high school. Amiee and Karianne were in my ward so I met them maybe once before school started. So I go to school not knowing anyone and, out of nowhere, Amiee comes running up to me and gives me a big hug like we had been friends forever! Karianne basically glared at me all day because I was getting a lot of attention for being the "new girl" and Jamie was pretty leery as well because I was honing in on her friends. I eventually won then over though and we have been friends ever since! We are all so different, but know each other so well and we always have the best time! We have been through a lot of great things together and I know I can count on them for absolutely anything. I love my girls!

30 day Challenge

I dont usually do stuff like this, but Im feeling extra bored tonight, so why not!? :) I saw this on my friends blog and it looked kind of fun! Ill probably combine some of these and might even forget some of them, but it might be fun for a few days! So here I go...

Day 01 - A picture of yourself with fifteen facts.
1. Yellow is my favorite color. My whole house would be yellow if I had my way. It just makes me happy everytime I see it.

2. I have dreams almost every night and I love it! they are usually pretty vivid and I remember most of them, so its like a whole new world! I remember dreams I had from when I was like 4...really weird!

3. I remember almost everyone Ive ever known! Sometimes even really random people. I don't always have the best memory, but when it comes to people, I seem to remember everyone.

4. I get really excited when I run into old friends and they actually remember me! I used to always think that since I moved so much, no one would even know who I was.

5. I am completely a night person. I dont think I will ever be able to wake up before 8 and feel ok about it. Mornings are bad...

6. I Love to take baths...There is nothing better! If I have a headache, stomach ache, tired, grumpy...whatever it is, all I need is a bath and Im better. Works about 95% of the time. :)

7. I wish I was a better singer. and dancer for that matter. I have always had good friends who were amazing singers am always in awe. I just think it would be so fun to be able sing in front of people or be able to get up and dance and not feel like a weirdo. For the record, I have no coordination or rhythm when it comes to dancing...its pathetic :)

8. Of all my features, I love my hair the most. I used to hate it when I was little, but now I love it and I want it to be even longer than it is now. On that same note, I wish I was better at doing it and wish I actually knew how to do cute things with it...Any ideas??

9. I hate making phone calls to people I don't know very well. Doesn't matter what its for. It freaks me out and most of the time I end up saying something dumb.

10. Im kind of obsessed with dogs(animals in general)... I frequently scroll through craigslist or other sites just checking to see what kind of puppies people are selling. Not that I'm planning on getting one anytime soon. I just like to see whats out their :)

OK, 10 is enough for me! Good job reading all that! Hopefully I can keep up with this. It might give me something to look forward to.

Happy Haircuts!

Ive been afraid this day would come and it has happened...Makella gave herself a haircut! Lucky for us, Ella apparently is pretty good at cutting hair and did a pretty good job!
I should have suspected something when she gave her doll a haircut during quiet time a few days ago. I thought that I had put the scissors away, but she somehow found them. We didnt even realize she had done anything until we found a pile of hair under her pillow. Here is a before..her hair was all the same length..Its the best picture I could find.To this...she pretty much layered her own hair and gave her self some side bangs..Good job Ella!
After the fact, she got pretty upset about cutting her hair and im hoping she learned a lesson...
Since I needed to fix her hair a bit, I decided to just go all out and get her a real haircut. Ive been growing it out for such a long time that it seemed fun to change things up a bit. I heard about this cute place in Meridian that does kids haircuts and paints their nails and stuff, so we made a morning of it. She loved it and I think her hair is so stinkin cute! Much better than what she had before. Here are a few pictures and another before and after...Enjoy!

I think she looks so cute! I love it! Every girl needs to be pampered and Im glad I got to do it for such a sweet little girl!

Fun times

**Ive had this post sitting here waiting to be finished and haven't felt like writing, so here is a quick summary of the pictures.**

February has been a pretty good month so far! At the beginning of the month, I went on a little vacation with the kids. We drove to Yakima to see my neice and nephew (twins) get baptized! They were both so excited and I was really glad I got to be there. I haven't been able to see any of my other nieces/nephews get baptized yet, so it was fun. Makella had the best time with her cousins. She got to have a sleep over with them and she slept in the bunk bed with Emery. I was glad she got to spend so much time with them!

Then after that, I drove to my parents house and left the kids at their house while me and Jon spent a couple of days, kids free, in Seattle. He flew in on Monday and left again the next day. Those were his days off and we had a free flight. So it worked out. Everything is pretty expensive in Seattle so we didn't really do a whole lot. But it was fun to just be able to hang out with each other and enjoy some quiet! Seattle is definetaly an interesting place and a great place for people watching!

Wandering around all the different buildings and alleyways was fun too. Around Pikes Place, we found and alley that was covered in gum! Apparently its the gum wall and there was a bunch of people taking pictures. The whole alley smelled like gum, which was pretty gross, but it was funny. Jon hates any/all gum, so he was especially grossed out. But it was fun to see. I wished I had some on me to contribute, but i didn't!

After Jon went home, I spent the rest of the week at my parents house. Its nice to go there and just relax and spend time with family. We had a birthday party for my dad, Ella and Mandy because they all have February birthdays. We made them all their own cakes and there was a lot of presents for everyone. Ella got so much fun stuff and thought it was pretty cool to share a birthday with her aunt and grandpa! Danika and Ella during quiet time watching a movie.
It felt too soon, but then it was time to go home. We celebrated Makella's birthday again when we got home by taking her ice skating. She has always talked about going, so we decided to just go for it. It was pretty hard for her but she was happy to be able to go. We actually got some skates on Noah too. They wouldnt let us take him unless he had skates on, so I dragged him around for awhile and he had fun for about 5 minutes, then me and jon just switched off.

We weren't going to make her another cake, and then I saw this really cool idea to make a Neapolitan cake and I just decided to try it. I seem to have bad luck when baking and it either tastes really good but look bad, or looks great and tastes bad. This time it was the first. It tasted great, but didnt look so good. I tried to cover up the bad frosting job by smothering it sprinkles. Makella is obsessed with sprinkles, so she loved it! Happy birthday Ella!

Sick Day

This is how Noah spent most of his day. Wrapped in a blanket/towel, whatever he could find. If it fell off he could come back turn around and wait for me to fix it. He has a cold and his nose has been running like crazy! Poor guy isnt feeling good! He looked so sweet with his poofy hair and red eyes, all wrapped up, I just had to take some pictures! I hope he feels better soon though.

Luckily Makella is feeling just fine and we had lots of fun doing a funny face photo shoot. She's so funny and had some really good faces!
