Christmas time!

So I guess its time for an update...since its been so long since I posted! Its been pretty busy lately, but good. We celebrated thanksgiving with Jon's family. It was a lot of fun to have everyone down here for awhile. We had a princess birthday party for Malie, Angie, and Aaron (mainly malia). It was a lot of fun! Jon just finished school a couple days ago and was able to get A's and B's in his classes! He was really happy about that! So now he is just working until school starts again in January. Makella is now 10 months old! She is getting so big! She took her first step a couple weeks ago, and now she still can only take like 5 steps at the most, but she is getting there. I dont think she is all that interested in it yet...but its exciting anyways! She is such a sweet girl and is always babbling in her little baby language. I love it! We are so excited that its christmas time! This year, we are going up to my parents house in Washington and we leave Next thursday! I cant wait! It will be so nice to see my family again...especially since everyone will be there. Makella is pretty shy with people she doesnt know, so Im a little nervous about how she will be up there...but we are hoping for the best! Oh, and it snowed here last weekend like 6 inches or something and so we built a snowman! It was supposed to be a fun family thing so makella could play in the snow, but it lasted about 5 minutes before Makella had had enough. She decided it was too cold! But she loved eating it! So Jon built the snowman by himself! :) So thats about all the exciting stuff! Here are just a few pictures of ella in the snow!

Happy Halloween!

Christmas is definetaly my favorite holiday, but halloween comes in a close second. I just love it. So I was really excited to dress Makella up this year. I wanted to make it a great 1st halloween, even though she wont even remember. I was looking at costumes like 3 months ago. After looking around, we found a cute lobster costume that we thought would be fun. So I decided to be like my mom and make the costume myself! I started in August and it took me all the way til halloween day to get it done! Im definetaly not a sewer, but it was a fun project and I guess it turned out alright for not having a pattern! Anyways, it was a great day! She loved her costume and she looked so cute! We took her trick-or-treating to a few houses in our neighborhood and it was so much fun! She didnt even try to pull off her hat!

Working hard!

She thought Jonny was really funny in that hat
So Cute!
This was her trick-or-treating bag....she loved all the goodies!

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkins!

The other night, Karianne and Larry came over for the night. We dont get to do much with them since we are all so busy, so it was nice to hang out! We had dinner and then the boys played guitar hero and watched saw 3 while me and Karianne carved pumpkins. It was really fun, plus it was snowing like crazy. I love the snow!

a few more pictures

Rexburg!

So last week, I decided that since Jon was so busy in school and hardly home, I would go on a little trip :) I went to Rexburg to see my friend Amiee and her baby that is only 6 weeks older than Makella. Her husband is really busy in school too, so it was perfect! We had a really good time! It was so nice to see one of my friends for awhile, I wish we lived closer! It was fun to watch the kids play too since they are so close in age. We bought them matching outfits (cuz thats just what we do) and we took their pictures...so fun!

Baby things!

Its been awhile since I posted, so i thought I would let you know how things have been. Jon is really busy in school right now. He works so hard in his classes. Life is sometimes slow for me just staying at home, but Makella is getting so big and is so much fun! She can crawl everywhere and gets into a lot of stuff. I forget that she can move so far sometimes! We love her and just cant get enough! Here are some of her new tricks.

One of her favorite books is a book of baby words like nose, mouth, cat, etc. A couple weeks ago, everytime I ask her where her mouth is, she points to it. She's so smart!
She has a tendency of throwing fits if she doesnt think her needs are met, so I stuck her in this to let her cool down. When it got quiet, i came in and found this...sweet girl! One of her favorite things is when daddy goes out and runs around the yard with babbos. she waves her arms, yells da da da and laughs. I find it pretty funny too!
She is getting so good at standing. She can pull herself up on just about anything.
Now that she can stand, she falls and hits her head quite a bit, but this is the first time she has had a mark to show for it. She fell and hit her face on the coffee table...poor thing!!

School time again!

Life just got a lot busier! Jon started school yesterday and is ready to get through this semester. He has some tough classes...cell biology, organic chemistry, and physics. He loves his major though and always has things to tell me about a golgi apparatus (?) or cell molecules and other totally interesting things! :) He is a really good student though and puts a lot of time into his work. He is a great student, dad, and husband! Wish him luck!

Washington trip

I just got back from a 6 day trip to Washington to see my family. It was a lot of fun! Makella got to go on a plane for the first time and she did really well! She had a lot of fun playing with her cousins, aunts, uncles, gramdma and grandpa, puppies, and cats...there was a lot to do! We went to the beach one day which was so nice. It was great weather and the water wasnt totally freezing. I got to be there for my mom's birthday and we had a party for her at my brother's new house. My dad is running for mayor and so he has his signs posted all over town. I decided to get a picture of it. He would be a great mayor! While I was there, me, leah, and the kids went to the fair. It was a pretty good sized fair and we had a good time. Zach and Elora got to go on a ride and they won 2 goldfish! I think that about sums it up. Overall, I had a great time and it was a break from Utah that i really needed. I didnt get as many pictures of everyone that I wanted, so Ill just post what I can.

Cadbury bunnies!

These are my Lionhead rabbits! Ive had them for a few weeks now. Im planning on breeding them. The male is the white one and Jon decided to name him Cadbury. He is a terribly sweet bunny. He loves to sit on my lap and doesnt care when Makella pulls his hair. The black one I decided to name Madame Mim. She is pretty mean. I can hardly pet her with out her grunting at me. So we just leave her alone. Not long after I got them, she all of a sudden got really mean. When I called the lady back, she told me that she might have already bred her with Cadbury, but couldnt remember...so she might already be pregnant. We are gonna wait another week and see. Ive never had these kind of rabbits before, so its been fun for me to get used to them. When its not so hot, they get a much more distinct mane..like a lion. They are so pretty and if anyone ever wants a bunny, just let me know! :)

Haircut!

A couple weeks ago I decided to cut my hair. I havent been able to get a good picture of it til now. But it was a big step! They cut of almost a foot of hair and thinned it out quite a bit. Its a huge change, but I love it and glad I did it.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. We woke up early and went to the parade in Provo, which is a graff family tradition. Ill admit, it wasnt a great parade, but Makella loved seeing all the cars and stuff making noise. We then had a bbq with Jon's cousins. Later that night we went to see the fireworks at the stadium of fire. Makella loved it! She was laughing, waving her arms and kicking her legs the whole time. I was watching her more than the fireworks. It was a lot of fun!

Hello! I thought I would give this blogging thing a try. We are the Graffs. Makella is almost 5 months right now and is learning all sorts of new things...rolling over, sitting up, eating rice cereal. Its a lot of fun. Jon is working full time until school starts in the fall and Im working part time and Im also going to be breeding lionhead rabbits. Im so excited to start my little rabbit business!
