The big 30!

Jon turned 30 this year! I wanted to do something really fun for him on his birthday, so I thought, what could be better than a surprise party?! Well, his suprise day turned out to be just a surprise dinner which then turned out to not even be a surprise, so oh well, I'm not very good at surprise parties. It was still a lot of fun and it was great that his dad was able to be in town to be there. His whole family came minus a couple of people and we had dinner at famous Dave's, which is one of Jon's favorite restaurants. It was fun to have everyone there for his birthday dinner. I did not get Nearly enough pictures of the whole thing, so these are just a few that I got.

I somehow managed to not get the whole bottom of the table, so there really are more people there, Im just bad at picture taking!

In all my failings at putting together a surprise party, there was one thing that I did manage to keep a secret. After we were all done eating, I had talked with the waitress about bringing out his birthday dessert. and a long with it, she brought another decorated plate with a card that had this picture inside of it ---->

Im Pregnant! And he had NO idea, he was completely shocked and it was so fun to see his face! I wish I had gotten some pictures that I could post on here, but I got it all on my video camera and I cant put that on here, so this is all you get. I had just found out a couple days earlier and it was soo hard to keep it a secret!! After he got over the shock of it all, he was so excited and we cant wait to have our third little baby!

Anyways, The next day which was Jon's actual birthday, was pretty quiet and relaxing. Not much happened, but we had a good day and I made him a blue velvet cake. He thought blue would be cooler than red, so I gave it a shot and it turned out pretty good. It didnt look that great, but tasted awesome, so it was a hit. We sang happy birthday and the kids helped him blow out the candles.

I am so lucky to have Jon in my life! He is such a great husband and father. He makes me laugh everyday and I am forever grateful that he works so hard to take care of us so that I can stay home with the kids. I love that I get to share my life with such an amazing guy! Love you Jonny!!

Im Baaack!

I have NOT felt like blogging this year...but now Im back and ready to give it another shot :) We have done so much since I last posted, but thats to much to try to catch up on right now, so I will just start with the latest and greatest! Halloween! I Love halloween, always have. It was a big deal growing up, probably because its my sister's birthday, but I have memories of cool costumes, lots and lots of jack0lanterns and just lots of fun! Now that I have kids, I have my own little cute kids to make even more adorable! I tried really hard not to make their costumes this year, because I didnt want to be slaving away all month sewing stuff, but thats pretty much what I ended up doing. Maybe not all month, but it was long enough. In the end, it was worth it because they looked so cute! A couple days before halloween we carved some pumpkins. We got Noah to get his hands a little dirty with the goop, but Makella insisted on using a spoon. Such a little lady. I think they turned out pretty cute though.

For Halloween, We went to Aaron and Kelly's house just like we did last year. We went trick or treating, had some yummy chili, ate lots of candy and had a wonderful time! It was fun to hang out with them and little Kayleigh was adorable! She was a little pirate and Kelly did such a good job on her costume! Makella and Noah were a pro at getting candy. Noah would position himself right in the middle of the door and open his bag, ready to go. And Ella left every house with a "Thank you! Happy Halloween!" Enjoy the picture overload!!

She is looking way to grown up! Where is my little girl??

Do a witch pose, Ella!

This is his serious cowboy sheriff face

That serious face never lasts long, he is so stinkin cute!
Here is little Kayleigh the pirate! She was very good about wearing her hat, and loved digging in all the candy bags!

Look closely and you can see Noah's spurs on his boots, so great!

Whenever I told Noah to say cheese, he would make this face and look away from the camera.
Noah is not a big fan of actually eating his candy, but he sure does love to play with it!

Happy Halloween!

Day 14

Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without.

This one is a no brainer...
My Jonny! He is my best friend, my husband and the father of my kids! What more can I say? He makes me life wonderful!

Day 13

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist.

I think Im pretty well rounded when it comes to what music I like to listen too. Its true I dont like a lot of rap or really hard rock, but other than that, Im pretty flexible. It was hard for me to think of who is my favorite. I finally decided on Brad Paisley. I just think that every song he comes out with is so good. He has a wonderful voise and is pretty easy on the eyes, that definetaly helps :)

Spring Break

We actually got to have a spring break! Jon had a whole paid week off. It was pretty great! We had plans of going to Utah to see family and friends, but changed our plans at the last minute and just ended up staying home. It was so great though! We ended up painting Ella's room, which we had wanted to do for awhile. It turned out cute and we had a lot of fun working on it together. Here is a before picture. This is right before we set up to paint, so the walls are cleared off and everything was moved to the center. But you get the idea.
And then the after:
Makella really wanted to have a pink room and since she had done a pretty good job of destroying the old paint, we decided to just do it. She knew we were painting it pink, but we didnt let her in her room until it was all done and put together. It was a huge suprise and she was SO excited! I loved seeing her face when it was all done. She gasped and said "Oh... look how beautiful it is..Its pink just like I wanted! Thank you Thank you!" She was in awe. If you know Ella, you can probably imagine her saying that. It was really cute.
I was also able to work on our garden a bit. It was still a too cold to do alot with the ground, but I got some little seed starter things and planted a bunch of plants that are supposed to be started inside. Ella helped me do it and we made some cute little markers, so I wouldnt forget which was which. It was a fun little project. Its been a little over a week and there are already a few little sprouts! Im really excited to be able to get them in the ground. I also got some strawberry plants and planted them outside. Im excited to have a garden this year...hopefully I dont kill everything!

We also were able to celebrate Kamden's birthday. Jon's parents came up and Kami asked me to make some cupcakes for his party. I was really excited because I love to have a reason to make cupcakes! His theme was trucks, so I made some trucks out of fondant. I definetaly have a long way to go before I really good at it, but every time I do it gets a little better. It was fun to be able to practice a bit. Here are a few pictures from the party.
This is Kayleigh, she was just hanging out and having a great time. She is such a sweet little baby and so cute!
I just love Kamden! He is the cutest little kid and he always have a huge smile for everyone. I missed all the really good cake pictures, but he seriously dove into that cake and got it everywhere. It was great.

Jim and Kay just got back from hawaii and got all the grandkids some cute hawaiin outfits. We tried to get a group shot of them, but didnt really turn as good as we had hoped. Noah pretty much cried the whole time and I was pretty unsuccessful at getting a good picture. But they were cute anyways.
Besides all that we just stayed home, had lots of movie nights, relaxed and had a great week. It was just what we all needed. Jon went back to work today, so its back into regular life and Im ok with that :) Happy Spring Break!

Back Again..

ok I took a week off. Jon had a week off of work so we were pretty busy. More on that later. Im determined to keep up with this blogging thing, so Im going to catch up on it before I do some other posts.

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day. This is probably a little dorky or weird, but I would love to be someone who works with big cats. They are pretty amazing, and if you take away the fact that they would love to eat you, it would be awesome to have one! Thats why I would only trade places with these people for a day. Anyways, snuggling up with a huge tiger would be fantastic...go ahead, you are allowed to call me crazy.

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item.
This one was actually really hard to think of. I dont really get attached to too many THINGS. I tried to imagine that my house was on fire..what would I grab besides family members and such? The only thing I could think of was all my pictures and old keepsake stuff. Which, now a days pretty much means I would grab my computer since thats where most of my pictures are. I've always loves having lots of pictures. I used to have boxes of them and I was always going through them and organizing them. So I guess I just really treasure all my memories.

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most. These are my parents! They are the best parents ever! They raised me, so I think that pretty much counts as getting me through the most stuff. They have always supported and been there for me and I am pretty grateful to have such wonderful parents!

Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the most messed up things with. Im gonna switch this one to who I do the most FUN things with. This is pretty easy since I pretty much do everything with this guy! He can always make me laugh and we always have a lot of fun together. No matter what we are doing.

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate. I had a hard time thinking of something I really dont like, but this is what I finally thought of..
Flies...I think they are ugly, gross, annoying, etc. Definetaly hate it when I lay down at night and just find the most perfect comfortable spot and then hear a FLY buzzing around the room. It drives me crazy... It takes me a long time to fall asleep at night, so something like that makes it impossible.

Day 12 - A picture of something you love.
Mangos...seriously good stuff! I never really had one of these until I was pregnant with Noah. For some reason I all of a sudden craved them when I was pregnant. I ate one pretty much every day for months and would freak out if I didnt have one at the end of the day. Then after Noah was born, I didnt really need them anymore and didnt have one for awhile. I recently had one again and I still love them! They are so good and I think Im gonna have one right now :)

ok, now Im all caught up and hopefully I can stay up with it. Good job if you were able to make it through all that !

6 years

Our anniversary is April 1st and we celebrated 6 years together! I'm incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful marriage. We have 2 wonderful kids and life is great. We don't always agree or get along, but we have always been able to work through a problem and feel like we understand each other better. He is the best dad ever and they can never get enough of him. He is my best friend and works so hard to support his family. It has been a wonderful 6 years and I look forward to all the rest!
