Noah Kenyon Graff!

Our day started bright and early at 5 in the morning when the hospital called me and told me to be there by 6:10. So I had some time to get ready and then we were off to have a baby :) I still wasnt having any pains or contractions or anything, so it was nice. We had such a nice room with an amazing view of all the mountains and Utah lake and everything. It was great!
They started me on the pitocin at about 8:30-9. But not before my "wonderful" nurse tried twice (unsuccessfully) to get an IV in me. She literally Dug around in my wrist first and it somehow "popped" out and there was blood everywhere and then she tried again on the back of my hand and again Dug around for the longest time. I just about lost it. I was as white as a ghost and thought I was gonna pass out. I guess we know where Makella gets it from! After that fiasco she got another nurse to come in who was able to get it on the first try with little pain. Finally! So anyways, Off we go!
After I was all hooked up, it said I was already having contractions, but I couldnt feel anything. I didnt start to feel much until they broke my water about an hour later. I got my epidural at around 12:30 and then at around 3 I was ready to push!

Noah Kenyon graff was born at 3:24 and we love him so much! He is a perfect little bundle!

Makella loves her little brother so much and the first time she saw him was such a wonderful moment. She loved him and gave him kisses. She was ready to be the mom and has been kinda bossy about it! We feel so blessed that everything went so well and that we now have this wonderful little addition to our family! Thank you for all the support and love we get from our friends and family. Finally, here are some pictures of our little Noah!

Just for a little amusement. This is what Jon was doing when they broke my water. The doctor came and Wendy tried hard to wake him up, when she told him the doctor was here, he just said, "Tell him Hi". Which he doesnt remember saying at all. Ive never known anyone who can sleep like that on a recliner! We all had a pretty good laugh. :)

haircuts and goodbyes

This week, to pass the the time while waiting for this baby to come, I decided to take Makella and get her hair cut. It was getting so long and I loved it, but it was all uneven and not looking too cute. Plus, Im trying to grow out her bangs and just needed to fix it all. I think that it turned out so cute! I forgot to get a good before picture, but here are the results:

She did really good in while she get getting it cut. At first she wasnt too thrilled about the cape thing they put around her, but they had someone there who talked to her and she did so good! She was so excited about her "princess haircut"!

We have also been really busy getting ready for this baby. I am getting induced tomorrow morning! Yikes! So we have been trying to organize and get everything ready. We sold one of our couches and were able to get a really nice ricking chair! I was so excited! But also one of the things that we realized needed to go was my rats. :( We have talked about it for awhile, but I keep putting it off because I really didnt want to get rid of them. I just love having some kind of pet around. They just make me happy and when I dont have something the house seem empty somehow. I know Im a little weird, but thats just how I am. Anyways, so I finally posted them online and someone called that same day. They went to a little nine year old boy for his birthday and it sounded like it was a really good family, which made me feel better. Maybe its being pregnant and hormonal, but I just about lost it when they came to get them! So anyways, my rats are gone and I know in the long run it is for the best, they will get a lot more attention than i could give them. Ill be fine :) Here are a couple pictures of Hoobie and Mr. Munson!

Now I just have to focus on what comes next! My sister is coming into town today and Im so excited to have her here and appreciate her willing to come help. My mom is coming tomorrow and So will this little boy! I cant believe it! I am so ready for our new little adventure!

Fear of Blood and needles!

I am exactly one week away from my due date and no signs of baby yet! Im ok with that though. I am ready to not be pregnant, but a week is not that long, so I will patiently wait :)

Today, makella did something she has never done before, she just about passed out! It was the weirdest thing ever! We had a WIC appointment and it was our first time so they had to weigh and measure and do all that stuff. They also had to prick her finger to check her iron levels. I was anticipating crying because she Always does when people try and do weird things to her. So I got her all ready and they pricked her finger and she didnt even cry! She watched the whole thing without a peep! It only took like 20 seconds and it was only like 2 drops of blood, but she seemed interested. Then they put a band aid on and that was that. So I set her on the ground to play and the next thing I know, she is white as a ghost and falling over. I was quick enough to catch her before she hit the ground! It was so weird and then she started crying and wouldnt stop for a good long while. They tried giving her juice and crackers and stuff, but she wouldnt take it. After about 15 minutes, she was still a little pale, but pretty much back to normal.
I think Ive seen signs of her weakness to blood, but never really thought much about it. Whenever she has gotten hurt or has been bleeding, Ive noticed her get pale, but it never got this bad. I guess we will just have to be careful with her around blood and needles!

Final Concusion - She probably will not be a doctor!

Ive been needing to write this down for awhile because its so funny to me, but I keep procrastinating. I figure this is a good place to have it so I wont forget. Whenever Makella gets in trouble, we put her in time out. I try to avoid it as much as possible though, because she wont just sit it out peacefully, she cries, screams, etc. Its just a big ordeal. Lately, she has stepped things up a bit and will yell all sorts of unintelligible things. When Im not really angry and can appreciate the humor of it, its really funny! :) Yesterday was another example of this. Here is how it went:

Ella had gotten into a big can of juice mix and gotten it all over the table and was even mixing it in a big can of crisco...big mess. So into time out she goes...

through her cries and screams, "I need to get ready for my party! I just need to get ready! Its my party!

When she realizes I am not going to respond, she starts actually yelling at me.

" No!....mumbled yelling....No! and I dont understand! No!....Cupcakes! I will not understand!....Cupcakes! You dont do that!...Cupcakes!! (I really have noo idea what the whole cupcakes thing is about, but I was trying not to laugh)

After I still wont respond, she calms down a bit and says...

"Oh no, mommy is not answering me! What can I do? What can I do to make mommy answer me?
Then she just gives up and sits there..

Each time is a little different, but there is always crying and lately there has been some kind of scream for cupcakes. I appreciate the joy and humor she brings to my day! Thanks Ella!

In other news, there is only 13 more days until my due date! So far, I dont think he will come early or anything. If I make it to my due date which is the 29th, then Im just going to wait til Oct. 1 or 2 and then I will be induced. So we will see how this all goes. Im getting pretty excited!

Our Summer

Well, it feels like summer is Finally starting to end and fall is on its way! Woo hoo! Fall is my favorite time of year and I will be happy to be done with the summer. But I am proud to say I made it through the heat being pregnant and having no air conditioning! That's an accomplishment in my eyes :) But despite the heat, we had a good summer. Jon was able to get a new job and though it hasnt really been what we expect, we are grateful that he has a job and that we have been able to have the things we need.
I am about 3 weeks away from my due date and Im getting pretty excited! It will be fun to have a little newborn again. Plus, I will be really happy to not be pregnant anymore. Im tired of all the constant aches and pains and discomfort that comes with the last few weeks of pregnancy. Im ready to see what this little guy looks like and get to know him! If anyone has ideas for a name, we are always open to suggestions!
Well, on to the pictures. I like to post lots of pictures so be ready! Ill try to just post the good ones. These are just some of the fun things we did this summer!

Me and Makella made cupcakes one day and she Loved being able to decorate them all. I didnt help her at all and I think she did a pretty good job!

We went up to visit Bridal Veil falls and she was SOO excited to see a "beautiful waterfall." She loves to pal around with her dad and they always have so much fun together. As she always says when he leave.."I love daddy so much, He's my best friend!"

Ella was also really excited to be able to go see the temple. We just walked around it enjoying all the beautiful flowers. Im pretty sure she smelled every one of them and found all the bees that were flying around. I really enjoy being able to spend time with her everyday. There are many times when I get way to frusterated or am way too tired, but she always reminds me to be happy. Im so grateful for her!

Aaron, Kelly, Kami and Malia came down for a weekend to visit and we had a good time hanging out and talking and laughing. There is always a lot of laughs when everyone gets to together. Makella had a great time running around with Malia. They explored and Malia tried to teach Makella how to pose, but I think she still has to work on that. :)

Now its time for us to get ready for our next adventure of having 2 kids! I havent really documented this pregnancy all that well. We didnt have a camera for most of the time so I never got many pictures, but here are the ones I do have. Some of them arent really all that good, but it shows my huge belly! This kid feels like a big one :)

These two were at taken at 6 months along when we went to see Amiee in Rexburg.

This is at 30 week. Only 10 more weeks!

This is at 34 weeks, just a couple weeks ago.

And finally this was just today...37 weeks! Wish us luck these next few weeks!

An Ella Moment

This is the conversation I had with Makella this afternoon:

I found her in her room trying to put her shoes on.
Me: What are you doing?

Ella:I'm gonna go outside and play.

Me: Well, ok, but first I need to change your bum so you are all clean!
(She is not a fan of getting her diaper changed lately)

Ella: No no, Let me go ask Daddy
( Jon was in the other room so I could hear it all)

Ella: Daddy, can I go outside?

Jon: You need to get your diaper changed first.
Then she runs back to me
Ella: I asked daddy!

Me: What did he say?

Ella: Well, I asked if I could go outside and he said no (then obviously rethinking her answer...) and then my daddy said I should go outside and play with all my friends!

At least I know she's not a very good liar! :)

Wonderful Summer!

Im going to try and pretend that it hasn't been an incredibly long time since I last posted. We have had kinda a lot going on and I didn't have a camera for quite a long time. Its just not as fun unless I can post some pictures! I was finally able to get a new camera a couple weeks ago and it has been Great! I dont like having to beg people for copies of pictures, so its been good!
Well, lets see....Jon finally graduated back in May and we were so excited to be done with school! He was really hoping to get into the FBI right away, but that was kinda put on hold for a little while. He needs some more experience in his field and what not. So we went on the search for a job and have been doing that up until about last week! Jon was able to get a job at Mercedez Benz in Lindon! He has never sold a car or done sales like this before, but he is confident and excited to see how he does and to learn some new things. I think he will be able to do it just fine...Jon can sell anything, Im sure! He officially starts that job next Monday, but has been going in for all sorts of training and stuff. So after this thursday, we will officially be done with night jobs! YAY! Jon has been working nights for 1 1/2 years now and I have been doing it for about 7 months and we are definetaly done with that schedule. It will be so nice for him to just have a regular day job and be local!

This little baby inside of me is doing a good job of growing! I feel pretty big at this point..I think Im bigger than I was with Makella, but Im not sure. He seems to be a pretty laid back baby and I really dont feel him too often, but its enough to know that he is in there and doing well! I am 29 weeks now. Its so weird that I only have 11 more weeks until he is here! It seems to be going by soo fast and there is so much I have not gotten done! We are hoping to be able to move into a little bit bigger/nicer place before he is here, but that depends on Jon's job. I feel like he will be here before I have a chance to get everything I need and before I can prepare myself mentally to have 2 kids! I seem to have forgotten what it will be like to have a newborn. It will work out somehow though and we are really excited to meet him! We are still working on names though, so if you have any suggestions, we would love to hear them!

Makella just continues to grow and make us laugh with all the things she says and does. Besides her 2 year old tantrum/not listening/destructive moments, she is so much fun to have around and we love her to pieces! We have spent a lot of time outside this summer swimming, and playing. We tried to potty train her about a month ago and I think she is about 80% ready, but she is just not completely there yet, so I decided to give her a couple more months. Im determined to have that taken care of before the new baby comes. I think it would be great to not have 2 kids in diapers, but we will see. She definetaly moves at her own pace and will not be pushed!

That is kind of an update on everyone here. We have been able to do some fun things this summer, which is great! We have a family reunion in May with my family in Washington and it was soo much fun to see everyone. I was able, just this last weekend, to go up to rexburg with Karianne for Tayven's blessing. It was lots of fun to see Amiee and be able to spend some time with her and Hyrum and Kyla. Makella and Kyla get along so fun and its fun to watch them play together!

Here are some pictures from Rexburg and just some other ones from this summer. I am determined to make more of an effort to write on this blog, even if its just for myself!

These pictures are a little bit out of order, but thats ok!
