My Birthday Girl!

My sweet baby is turning one! I cant believe it has been a year already. We had a birthday party for her on Sunday with a lot of the family, and we will have another party on the 13th. She had a great party on Sunday, She opened a few presents. Some really cute clothes from my mom, a sippy cup from Karianne and a toy from mom and dad! Then she got to dig into her cake, which she loved. She didnt get into it as much as I thought, but thats ok! Ill put up some pictures soon. I didnt get a whole lot of pictures because my camera died. I just got a lot of video. Hopefully I'll get more at her party tomorrow.
Makella gets more and more fun everyday. She likes to talk a lot. Mostly just jibberish, but she says a lot of words too. Some of the words she says are:

Wawee- water
diddy- kitty
babo- babos the dog
baba-drink
wow
bow-ball
boo- balloon
no- can either be snow, nose, or No :)
yih- eye
mou- mouth
ee- ear
moor- more

Thats all I can think of. Mostly its just jibberish though, which I love. She acts like she knows exactly what she is saying and its my fault that I dont understand. She loves to rough house with me and jon and she loves anything that could be used as a bracelet. Also, she loves books more than anything. We are just so happy with her and we just love to play with her and watch her learn and grow. Here are some cute pictures of all the games she like to play and some of her favorite things to do.
I LOVE this face...so precious!
These are my fingers!
Nothing is better than taking a ride on daddy's shoulders!
She'll read her books anywhere!
She will use anythin as her bracelet. These are her favorite.
If you put a pile of pillows on the ground, she cant resist diving on them. Its the best!
We made a tunnel and she had the best time crawling back and forth playing peekaboo.

Im So Big!!

Joseph Smith Picture

So Jon found this picture and it is supposed to a new picture they have gotten and they are 90% sure that it is Joseph smith. It was gotten from the RLDS church and a lot of research has been done on it with the LDS historians and they really believe it to be a picture of him. I thought it was really neat and wanted to share it with everyone. I found this website you can read more about it. http://josephsmithpainting.com/index.html So anyways, I just wanted to share that because I think its really cool! Enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Happy new year! We are sad to see christmas over, but are excited for the new year. Jon starts school again in only 2 days, makella will be 1 in february and we are just hoping to make it an even better year than last year!
Christmas this year was in washington with my family and we had a really great time. It was so fun to have my whole family there. Its a rare thing and it was really neat. There were a total of 26 people up there, babies and all. It was quite the group. We went to my parents ward christmas party and saw a movie, but mostly we just spent time at home. I got so many pictures of everyone, but here are just a few so you get the idea. Oh and for those who have not seen it yet...here is a picture of my brand new hair! Its in the morning, so it normally looks better, but oh well. :)

I got it cut and highlighted about a month ago

We celebrated matts birthday on the 23rd and as you can see all the kids were really interested in the cake!

Ben introduced us to his german pasty streusal schneiken and we had a good time making them and especially eating them.
Christmas morning....makella did pretty well opening her gifts with a little bit of help. mostly, she like the wrapping paper and bows though.

All the adorable neices...minus makella. They are all so precious and I loved seeing them all! The boys were too busy to stop and take a picture

Jonny after opening one of his gifts.

Danika and Lacy

Makella in her pretty christmas dress loving every minute of it.

This is the stocking I made for her. She did pretty good taking out all her stuff. I just love her in her christmas jammies!

Well, that was just some of the fun things about our trip. We hope that everyone had a really wonderful christmas and that we have opportunities this year to see everyone more often! Happy new year!

Christmas time!

So I guess its time for an update...since its been so long since I posted! Its been pretty busy lately, but good. We celebrated thanksgiving with Jon's family. It was a lot of fun to have everyone down here for awhile. We had a princess birthday party for Malie, Angie, and Aaron (mainly malia). It was a lot of fun! Jon just finished school a couple days ago and was able to get A's and B's in his classes! He was really happy about that! So now he is just working until school starts again in January. Makella is now 10 months old! She is getting so big! She took her first step a couple weeks ago, and now she still can only take like 5 steps at the most, but she is getting there. I dont think she is all that interested in it yet...but its exciting anyways! She is such a sweet girl and is always babbling in her little baby language. I love it! We are so excited that its christmas time! This year, we are going up to my parents house in Washington and we leave Next thursday! I cant wait! It will be so nice to see my family again...especially since everyone will be there. Makella is pretty shy with people she doesnt know, so Im a little nervous about how she will be up there...but we are hoping for the best! Oh, and it snowed here last weekend like 6 inches or something and so we built a snowman! It was supposed to be a fun family thing so makella could play in the snow, but it lasted about 5 minutes before Makella had had enough. She decided it was too cold! But she loved eating it! So Jon built the snowman by himself! :) So thats about all the exciting stuff! Here are just a few pictures of ella in the snow!

Happy Halloween!

Christmas is definetaly my favorite holiday, but halloween comes in a close second. I just love it. So I was really excited to dress Makella up this year. I wanted to make it a great 1st halloween, even though she wont even remember. I was looking at costumes like 3 months ago. After looking around, we found a cute lobster costume that we thought would be fun. So I decided to be like my mom and make the costume myself! I started in August and it took me all the way til halloween day to get it done! Im definetaly not a sewer, but it was a fun project and I guess it turned out alright for not having a pattern! Anyways, it was a great day! She loved her costume and she looked so cute! We took her trick-or-treating to a few houses in our neighborhood and it was so much fun! She didnt even try to pull off her hat!

Working hard!

She thought Jonny was really funny in that hat
So Cute!
This was her trick-or-treating bag....she loved all the goodies!
